Skylar's Final Litter Was Born 02/10/25

Skylar has been a cherished member of our family since 2017, serving as Faith's first dog and long time best friend. From the moment she joined our lives, Skylar became more than just a pet. She has brought us joy, companionship, and countless treasured memories. Now, as we celebrate the birth of this litter, we happily announce her transition to retirement. After a successful career as the devoted mother of several beautiful litters, Skylar will now enjoy her favorite activity even more than usual; laying on the couch.

Skylar’s journey began when she was just a puppy herself. She instantly won our hearts with her playful spirit and affectionate nature. Also her funny faces! Over the years, Skylar grew into a nurturing figure, eventually becoming a mother. In total, she has given us five beautiful litters of small dogs, with each puppy showcasing its own unique charm and personality. The passion for breeding small breed dogs, began with our love for Skylar and has been a substantial part of our lives.

Each of Skylar’s litters highlighted her incredible maternal instincts and natural ability for caring for her young. Watching her with her puppies was a heartwarming experience; she nurtured each one with genuine love and dedication. For example, she raised six vibrant puppies in April of 2022, one of whom is still on our farm and several who became service dogs. The Skylar litters strengthened our belief in responsible breeding and showcased the joy small dogs can bring. We have built lasting relationships with the families who adopted her puppies and enjoy any updates we receive. Feedback from these families has overwhelmingly identified their new pets as loving and well-adjusted.

After spreading joy in our home and countless others, Skylar is now enjoying her well-deserved retirement. She has truly earned this time to relax in comfort and love. A silver lining to this new chapter is that Skylar still has her six newborn puppies, to whom she currently devotes her care and attention. It serves as a poignant reminder that while her breeding days are behind her, her legacy carries on through her adorable pups.

As we move forward with Skylar, we are filled with optimism and joy. Her retirement doesn’t mark an end; it signifies a time to explore new avenues of happiness. This transition lets us shift focus to raising her puppies, while ensuring Skylar enjoys her daily life filled with love, play, and occasional treats, like her favorite peanut butter biscuits.

With Skylar entering retirement, her journey of motherhood is winding down, but the love she has given and the lives she has touched will forever be part of our family. Her daughter Spring and Granddaughter Maggie will hopefully carry on her legacy, under her watchful eye. We look forward to creating new memories together in this exciting chapter of her life. As we celebrate her retirement, we pay tribute to the profound impact she has made... not just in our lives, but in the lives of those who have welcomed her puppies into their homes!
